Linguistic or pedagogical scholarships

Every year, the Service of Cooperation and Cultural Action of the Embassy of France to Malta offers scholarships to Maltese citizens. These scholarships enable students and teachers of French to up-skill themselves linguistically and pedagogically and also give them the opportunity to immerse themselves in the French cultural scene.

Two types of training course, of a duration of two weeks, are offered:

Intensive French course, aimed at students of French, preferably in their second or third year of study (B.A. or B.A.Hons).

Teaching practice aimed at working teachers of French or future teachers finishing their studies (preferably in their final year of study). Those scholarships allow selected candidates to follow an intensive course in pedagogical techniques in France.

The Embassy will cover all expenses related to the course and the stay of the candidates in France, excluding airfare roundtrip

Shorts scientific internships

The Embassy of France to Malta, CNRS whose office for the Mediterranean is located on the Tal-Qroqq Campus in Malta and MCST are offering grants and travel support to Maltese students/teachers/lecturers/researchers interested in carrying out research/training in a French laboratory or research institution.

This scholarship programme aims at strengthening cooperation between the universities and research institutes situated in France and the University of Malta (UOM) by intensifying exchanges of students and academics and increasing competences and transfer of knowledge in the field of research.
